Thank you everyone and special thanks to you Sassy. I really need this right now. Been very down on my self all day. Long story short next time around I got to come in a lot leaner. I kinda expected that as my abs just started showing this week but it was not a full ripped 6 pack. The girls that placed top 3 deserved it with out a doubt in my mind. I don't know where I stood out of the 7 in my class as they only gave top 3 guessing 5th or so. I didn't stick around for feed back from the judges. I will be honest I was far to disappointed in myself. Spent the better part of a 4 hour drive home runnning the past 6 months of dieting and training thru my head trying to figure out where. I went wrong and the honest fact is that if I had 4-8 more weeks I am sure I could have come in top 3. Live and learn all the girls were super nice I got great advice and tips backstage. I did get some feed back from a pro I know that was at the show basically said I have all the muscle I need just got to dial things in for the next go around. More then likely going to contact her for diet advice. Also said my posing and walk all were down and not something I need to worry about for the next go around. So I got big old cheat day planned for tomorrow and then back on the wagon.Sassy69 said:I just wanted to add that I met QT at the powerlifting venue at the Arnold Expo back in March 2005. The girl was all about powerlifting. You can see that in her quad development. And now she's off to do a figure competition. From a training & goal standpoint, those two disciplines are completely opposite (you'd understand if you saw what some of the female powerlifters look like.... omg...)
I want to hugely commend QT on what she's accomplished and as spent most of the year of 2005 pursuing. It is one thing to decide to pursue a figure competition on even 12 or 16 weeks' notice, but for QT, she is literally talking about changing her body composition and she's made amazing changes. As we've already discused ad nauseum the ability to "do" a show, i.e. master the posing, etc, I'm sure she will come out of her first show w/ a lot of good feedback and start honing in on how to fine tune her presentation, but overall, I am amazed and very happy to say "YOU GO GIRL!" to QT's pursuit and attainment of this goal.
*HUGS & KISSES QT!*
I *assume* I will get my chance to do the real hugs & kisses at the 2006 Arnold??

Sassy69 said:Like I've always said, your first show is for YOU! Even though on stage no one judges you by the road you took to get to the stage, just what you look like at that moment. But YOU know (and WE know) where you came from and that's the only thing that is important to measure yourself against. The other competitors certainly ain't gonna have QT's deadlift record and they may also have had several shows to hone their presentation. Ya gotta start somewhere and there are always other shows.
The point now is take this experience as a starting point and determine where you want to go with it. To do figure, we are talking a significant reshaping of a very muscular body. That is no small deal. If anything its probably going to be a frustrating anti climax because you can't measure progress by the size of your squat anymore. Shit, you can't even measure it by one exercise. Its about possibly losing some mass, and watchign how the top-to-bottom symmetry pulls itself out while just leaning down in general. Whoopdidoo. LOL! But these are the considerations you have to make when you choose to compete in these sports. Bodybuilding might be more satisfying. Maybe not. Figure might be, maybe not. But one thing also to keep in mind is that it is all about the journey and not the destination because once you arrive wherever you are trying to get to, you have pick up and set a new destination because things are constantly changing. You can stop & readjust your goals any point along the way. And it certainly will never be boring!
So again, huge props to QT for taking on this goal & achieving it after 6 long months of focus & training. Everything you achieved is yours to keep and be proud of.
And we still wanna see pix!![]()
you. See my gallery for pics
Sadly not many turned out but I am hoping to get some of another friend that was in the audiance.

Also told me that the suits didn't fit right which was true the one piece was to big in the butt and to be honest the finsh on my 2 piece was not very good he actually asked me if I got it off the rack. I should have complained when I picked them up but I didn't. Live and learn I will be going with a diffrent designer next time for sure.
I went with KHP. I still have you designers contact info also picked up sexfx's at the show I looked through her book and they were impressive. Also a lot of the girls with very nice suits used someone out of London but for the life of my I can't remember the name. There were some great looking suits. I really did learn a lot so over all good experience. Only place to go from here is up.Miss24k said:Who did you go with again?
The one I told you about before makes beauitful suits and they fit well. So does Sylvia Tremblay.
Let me know if you need their websites QT, or if you need anything.![]()

Take a long look in the mirror. You are amazingly beautiful. Not too mention smart and sexy.
Sometimes we get so caught up in what we are doing we forget to stop and admire what we have already accomplished!
OMG so true like I said girls that place top 3 were impressive but the 3rd place had NO legs some of the girls actually didn't look like the lifted a weight in there life just thinSassy69 said:That's exactly why when you go into these things you have to set your expectations correctly & keep in mind your goals and where you came from and the context that is important to you. COuld be even if you were the best looking person at your show, you go to the next level up or even just a different show & get your ass handed to you. Go to a BB show & you look soft, weak & squishy next to the BB's.
Especially first timers - I can point you to many girls who have competed for several years to get to where they are at and have been active & training their whole lives or were just born w/ the "right genes" for this. Also I'd even say that people that are top of the pile in one federation might also be the bottom of the pile in a different one because of what that particular federation judges on.
Holy Hell - I've been MIA but dayyuum girl your pics are smoking! AWESOME job on your transformation !!!superqt4u2nv said:OMG so true like I said girls that place top 3 were impressive but the 3rd place had NO legs some of the girls actually didn't look like the lifted a weight in there life just thinI have learned in my federation and figure #1 is ABS then legs. I don't need to worry about legs I got the thanks to genetics but ABS I am going to have to work VERY hard at via diet and cut down. Mentally this sport is very challenging. I know that yeah next to the average person I look great but I don’t just want to be better then average I want to be outstanding.
