Cruise Ship we stayed on and the view from my room:

LOL @ Jax needing to bring in cruise ships to house the SB attendees...

I bet who ever made that venue decision is swimming with the fishes..

it was the major selling point for the NFl to bring it to Jax. From a professional standpoint, it (among other things) was a fucking logistical nightmare. Beyond belief. But that was just the beginning.

good food and good drinks. CCR played, and the Jaguars cheerleaders did a little dance. it was actually the most well planned and executed part of the entire event. thank God it was nice weather though.
 
Cool pix -- what were the lighter-type things people were holding up for Hey Jude?? Did they give them out??

wait till they come to Detroit, it should be pretty entertaining.

each seat had a cushion on it with a zippered pocket hanging down. in the pocket was the cards for everyone to hold up at halftime and those keychain flashlights

I actually think it will be better, from a logistics standpoint. the weather and shitty downtown is going to be a major hurdle for us, but at least it will be in a "larger" city.
 
The cruise ship thing was actually sold by Wayne Weaver to the league, it has received mixed reviews around here.

Logistics were pretty fucked up.....KillahBee's ship was WAY outside the city for those of you who don't know Jax that well...the pic of the downtown shows how far it was.

Some stuff the city got right, some it got wrong....it was one of the best weekends jax has had in a long time.

Matt, did you end up doing either the Playboy (drama LOL) or Snoop parties?

I agree. Overall it was a pretty good event - Jax had some major hurdles they had to deal with to make this happen. That being said, there were just some things that went down that just shouldn't have (i.e. the stadium running out of most food BEFORE halftime, some very dumb transportation decisions). The benefits of the cruise ships most definitely DID NOT outweigh their downfalls.

Snoop didn't show for any events at all. There was a near riot because a club downtown that is largely black sold VIP passes at $150 a pop for "snoop's after party", and it turned out to be all bullshit. I am not sure how that was finally resolved.

I did not go to the Playboy Party, or any of the "big" parties. It was actually more fun for me to go to the places I often hang out at, and see how the weekend was impacting them. So I went to the bar we were at, and a few others in that area, instead. It was great.

I sure do miss all those people, lol. back to a cow town.

well, I did have some fun, but I was there to work, so about 98% of the time I was doing just that. but it was nice to be in 70 degree weather!

that pic during hey judge with all the lights is insane.. i would have cried like a little girl if i was in that situation
