summer muscle tech combo

i have been working out hard for a few years now and have tried various types of creatine powders from strait monohydrate to phosphagen hp without any really noticible gains. My new workout partner swears by a cell-tech and nitrotech combination. with my extra time this summer i plan on hitting the gym harder than ever and was wondering if this supplement combo would help me maximize gains.

Nitro-TECh is a whey protein isolate with NO2..
Cell-TECH is creatine monohydrate with dextrose.

Firstly, both are overpriced.

Nitro-TECH dosage.
1-2 scoops, 1-3x per day

Cell-TECH dosage
2 x per day for 5 days
1 x per day for maintenance

You also have to consider that both of these products are 'mixed' supplements. Two scoops (1 serving) of Cell-TECH is 98 grams and 10 grams of that is Creatine. Or atleast it is supposed to be. Due to mixing and settling within the container it is quite possible that the first two scoops contain 2 grams of creatine, the next two sccops contain 14 grams of creatine, and so on. This can be expected for any 'mixed' supplement.

If you are going to use supplements then the best advice is to purchase them in their singular state so that you can be assured that the amounts you are consuming are exact. Also, if you do wish to mix creatine, for example, with dextrose, then purchase the dextrose seperately and do all the mixing yourself.

The same has to be said for the Nitro-TECH. If you want to use a hemodilator then use a product similar to BSN Nitrix. Then add your whey protein supplement seperately. Pay close attention to any supplements (ie: protein powders, amino acids) which contain L-arginine when using N02 products.

As to whether the creatine/NO2 combo would help you ... who knows. If you have not noticed any significant responses to creatine products in the past then you might want to look at Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE). The absorption rate of CEE is higher than standard creatine monohydrate and the tendancy to 'bloat' is reduced. Just follow the recommended dosage requirements on the label as they differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.
