Summer job ideas

This is horrible,
I have been looking for I swear, possibly 3+ months for a summer job and here is what I've come up with so far,

checked about 15 different restaurants, found a McDonalds that was hiring, got interviewed, hired, worked there for 1 shift, absolutely hated it, and wanted to leave immediately. I swear that shift was quite possibly the crappiest days I've had in a long time. All I could think about the entire time was leaving and how much my summer would suck if I had to work there.

Needless to say, now I'm looking about again for another job, maybe something not in the food industry, but I'm running out of ideas..
and also really running out of time...

I've tried a lot of car dealerships around here and havent had much success.
I've tried a few hotels around here and havent had much success there either.

So if you guys have any ideas, that would be greatly appreciated!

btw, for your information, I am 19, and my previous job experience has been entirely based in the fast food industry, i hate it now and I want to do something else

Have you looked into painting houses for the summer. It is not bad pay and you get to spend days outdoors and do somthing constructuve.

I used to be a lifeguard every summer until this one and that's only because I don't have enough time for it this year. You get an awesome tan. Ocasionally there's hot girls your age that come there. You basically get paid to bs around all day and work on your tan. Don't get much better IMO.

construction man, can't go wrong. your out side working on your tan all day. dont apply for any jobs though in this line of work, look around for construction going on, walk up to the first guy with a chew or cig in his mouth and ask for the boss....tell the boss man your deal, tell him your a hella worker and you want some summer work and you'll bust your ass for it. it's rough work but the pay is pretty good, most places will start you at $9 or $10

Warning! do not take anything that has to do with concrete forms or roofing. i wouldnt do either for less than $20 an hour.
