Stupid shit at work

I work at a gym, and so I come to work late today by 10 min. And my boss curses me out in front of another employee. I didn't want to make a huge scene there so I wait until he is alone and decided to talk to him.

I tell him the way he talked to me out there was not cool, so he curses me out again, I was trying to be mature about this, so I didn't answer back and told him I was gona complain about him to his manager, ie the coordinater of the building. The coordinator has a closed door talk with him, and he apologizes for what happened, but my boss, has yet to apologize for what happened. I just finished writing a formal complaint against him, and sent it to the coordinator. What else can I do to make my boss realize that the way he talks to his employees is not cool?

I really enjoy working here so quiting is not really an alternative, and I don't really want to come out as immature as him and do a curse out contest. Is there any law that states a boss cannot use profanity against his employees? Anyone been in a similar situation please feel free to discourse what you did.

Yea, I do P/t work as a gym instructor at my gym too and I wouldn't be pleased with that sorta crap. Handled real well bor.
