stupid mid cycle injury

im 5 weeks in and my left elbow is killing me. i originally hurt it doing hammer curls and its hurting me now for the day after a workout. so im gonna take a couple days off and see if it gets better.

i hate the feeling of not being in the gym though. i feel like im wasting away if im not lifting :p
 
Is it actually in your elbow or is the tendon that holds the bicep to the bone...That is the one that gives me trouble if I try to go too heavy too soon.

it feels more like a tendon thing. really annoying especially seeing as how i do manual labor all day at work.
 
take a week off...

after i tore my bicep my physical therapist said it probably would not heal on its own, but after a week it seems to be back to normal...

might be the same for your case, tendons are tendons... just take it easy

i hope you get better soon bro! injuries mid cycle totally suck!

Where exactly on your left elbow does it hurt?
 
That sucks man take it easy for a while and it should get better as long as you don't work it to hard. Don't risk making things worst by doing to much.

Injuries are the perfect time to hit detail muscle groups hard-like forearms, calves, abs etc. Expending the extra energy on these parts really helps I think.

I feel ya man. Last week was my 8th week in my cycle and I partially slipped a disk in my back. I was down for 4 days. I was lucky I didnt do too much dmg to it, and ive been able to actually walk around normal this week and get 3 light workouts in (including today... havent gone yet).

But I swear to god, i felt like a caged animal while laid up at home. I was going so god damn stir-crazy. That shit sucks sooo bad.

Whenever I get motivated to do something... I have the will power of a god and I never stop until Ive reached my goal. When I got hurt, all it did was infuriate me because I was going to have to take time off. Nothing like a lil speed-bump to really irriate ya heh.

Hope you can get back up and runnin again soon bud. That shit sucks. Goodluck :Chef:
