Studies: Bromocriptine and progesterone levels

Youll find some studies about bromocriptine/cabergoline and progesterone.

In all they lower prolactin.
In some they lower progesterone, in some dont in a few progesterone is increased (??); keep in mind that PREGNANT animals are often used, so its results may differ from man.

If someone wants to make a simple study, take a progesterone lab test, take bromo or dosti for 2 weeks, and repeat the lab test.

Keep in mind that eventually bromo/dosti may be banned since some studies in animals demonstrate that they may be used (tough not completely effective) as abortifacients.

1. After 4 days of consecutive bromocriptine serum progesterone lowered from 16.8 ng/ml to 3.8 ng/ml (about to one fifth) in hamsters
They used 1 mg subcutaneous, it will be interesting to find its human oral equivalent.
read the study at:

2. In other study bromocriptine reduced progesterone and prolactine in pregnant pony mares.

3. However in other study 2.5 mg twice daily in women failed to lower oestrogen and progesterone:

4. A bromocriptine analog actually increased oestrogen and prolactin in domestic hen.

5. A study with mixed results:

6. Bromocriptine reduces corticosterone and promotes fat-loss

7. Progesterone and oestrogen unaffected in goats by bromocriptine

8. Cabergoline (dostinex) lowered progesterone but not to low to impair pregnacy in coyotes

9. Cabergoline lowers progesterone in rats and terminates early pregnacy.

10. Bromocripine and cabergolide reduce prolactin and thus progesterone thus being an abortifacient in dogs

11. Bromocriptine and PG2a, reduce progesterone and is an abortifacient in dogs

12. Cabergolide increases estrogen/progesterone ratio (decreses progesterone)

sorry but it doesnt do shit for progestin's, i used cabaser will ample time to kick in and gyno was still running rampant.

im sorry but cabaser/bromo doesnt do anything for gyno

in my experience not opinion

No med known to date can reverse gyno once it develops.
But, they can prevent gyno.

According to the studies bromo/dosti DO reduces progesterone and prolactin.
