Can anyone tell me a way to find out how much $5000 worth of AT&T stock would be valued at today if it was bought in 1958 and held till today. Im considering the whole portfolio value including all the spin offs and splits from Lucent to all the baby bells..I work for a large broker but I'd hate to bother him with my curiousity.

Couldn't you just contact AT and T itself?

I would think you would have to seek a brokers help. I can't think of any online sites that would show all the dividends and splits for 43 years.

Plus, it wasn't always "AT&T. Do you know all the previous corporate names?

Yahoo can take ya back to 1962. go to the following link and click on Historical Quotes to the right under "REsearch Tools, enter ticker symbol ( T ) and entire the desired date. if this is not helpful, email me. i have a bloomberg terminal at my office this should give you more info. but i am off until monday.
