Stiffness = Arimidex?

I've really noticed that one hip is really stiff since I went to 500 Test C per week. At first I thought this might be the Test, but now I'm wondering if it's the Arimidex? I'm taking .5mg of A-Dex twice a week BTW. Wood is OK, but not outrageous; eg. my Melanotan is not giving me the Boner issue.

I can't say I've had any Gyno issues, other than a burning sensation when I was on a double dose of Androgel. I did not want to take any chances, so I took the A-Dex as a preventaive, since I've heard that once it starts it's too late. I just started 250 iu of HCG twice a week too, so I did not want to drop the A-Dex too quickly. Just started CJC 1295 and GHRP-2 at a low dose too with no effects so far.

Should I skip the next dose of A-Dex and see what happens? BF is about 15% BTW, so I thought the A-Dex was prudent. I do have Nolva, Forma and Forged PCT if required. The stiffness/pain is really killing my Cardio so I want to get it cleared up. I've upped my Fish Oil in the mean time.

Thanks.

Anecdote:
I took my T shot on Wednesday, did my workout and stretch and I was absolutely pain free for about an hour. So I'm wondering if the pain free period is the time it took for the A-Dex to kick in and lower my Estrogen?

Just how much Adex are you using? Its been known to cause some pain/stiffness but its generally not localized to one place.

Any new or old injuries to that hip? Could also be caused by muscle adhesions that need ART/deep tissue work to break up.

There are two places that bug me the hip and the vertebrae about dead center of my back. I've also had minor tendon soreness in the ankles, but this does not last. Yes, the hip has bugged me off/on for twenty years, but usually a few days rest and I'm OK. The weights don't seem to bug the hip, but it's a bitch the day after the elliptical. Ibuprofen/Capsacin are my usual weapons of choice, but they are not helping.

The Physio has been using ultrasound and TENS on it, but it has not made much difference. Seemed to get worse after I had a massage from this big Samoan MF who was using his elbows on my Glutes. It's the muscles around the SI joint are are sore stiff. I assume they are stiff because of an injury.

If it's just stiffness I'll work through it, but it does not seem to be. I have minor arthritis in L4/L5.

I would wager you long term hip problems are due in part to joint laxity due to an injury. You mask the injury with anti inflamatories and at the same time hamper healing. Exercise more, cause more damage, rinse and repeat. Classic cycle that usually ends with arthritis.

Muscles often tighten to protect an injured area but in the case of a lax joint they also do so to try and keep the joint joint to prevent long term damage. The test/adex may be aggrivating things a bit but ultimatly I bet its just chronic injuries come back to haunt you. Did you recently just become active again?

For you hip and spine, google PRP or prolotherapy.

OK .... some comments from personal experience.
1. I have taken a-dex for years with no link to joint or muscle stiffness/pain.
2. I had hip replacement 3 years ago after years of pain that started like this. Please have an xray. It will show bone on bone if this is the problem. If not ... get a cort shot guided by a sono image.
3. As we grow older, certain exercises will cause us pain. So we find alternatives. Give this some thought.

Thanks,

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's some kind of ligament damage, but I've never been diagnosed. I was hoping the Peptide therapy might help with the ligament issues over time. I was also considering some fast acting IGF-1 injected directly at the site to see if that would help.

I try to stay fairly active, but the elliptical and weights are about six months old. I was using a Treadmill prior to the Elliptical, but the jarring bothers the joint more. Weight bearing exercise does not bother me if I'm careful, but hyper extending that joint is certain to stiffen me up.

The pain is not in the usual spot this time (normally directly over the left SI joint), but at the top of the hip on the left side. I don't know if this from the muscle tightening up to protect the joint or if it got aggravated from over stretching.

Thanks,

I had some digital imaging done a few months ago before I started Physio. All they said was arthritis in L4/L5 that has not progressed since the last time I was xrayed several years ago. They said my SI joint looked OK (doesn't feel OK), but that I might have some minor bone spurs developing.

They told me top keep active to keep the arthritis at bay.

What are the pros and cons of the cortico shot? Did it greatly reduce your pain/inflamation? I was going to ask the doc, but the Physio did not think it would help, as I'm not getting shooting pain ATM. Although I do get a bit of numbness in my left foot.

if your a couch potatoe, go ahead and get a cortisone shot cause it wont hurt anything at that point. IF your Athletic at all, the DO NOT EVER result to a cortisone shot. It totally halts healing and masks pain. Sure, you will feel good but you have NOT fixed anything!!!! If there is continual pain there is a problem! Find it and fix it do not mask it with cortisone or you WILL create a permanent problem!!!

If you want a chance at fixing the problem start by making sure you are not deficient in zinc, magnesium (most adults are by the way), vitamin D and all the B vitamins.

Next to mobility work and make sure any adhesions in the muscles are worked out. Do stretching and strengthening exercises and check into prolotherapy to kick start the healing if its tendon/ligament related.

I dont think you using very much ARIMIDEX. 1mg split over the week is low dose IMO.
