steroids for the obese???

big calvin

New member
i wanted to know if you would recomend any steroid to an obese male? seeing that it can do wonders for these hormone profile..

ok the truth is i was thinking about it again. im obese, diabetic, low thyroid(take synthroid) and have high liver ennzymes. i have been training sence i was 12 on and off. and i wanted to know (my diet is very clean now and training and cardio) if something light work do me some good. i just dont know if injections are the way to go cause it would be hard to hit glutes unless the needles was pretty long.

so would any one recomend steroids to the obese?

i remember someone posting about how test did help out obese males lose fat and gain muscle but cant remember who posted the study...

thank you,
calvin

Calvin, I'd advise you to get in fit before you even think about using steroids. Get your bodyfat down to a healthy level, get your heart in shape, and spend a few years in the gym learning to train correctly.

Complete this journey and if you are still interested in steroids you will then be in a position to take advantage of them.

b.c., I got to concur with Silent Meth on this. AS is just going to make your aforementioned conditions worse. They will increase your cholesterol, increase your Blood Pressure, increase liver enzymes, etc. Sounds like you are already taking some other meds and those combined with AS will give your internal organs a serious beating.

IMO, I think anybody who does AS has to be in very good or excellent physical condition before starting. If not, then you could be setting yourself up for heart disease or some other medical condition.

There are some great threads about Diets (Ketogenic,CKD,Low-Carb,etc.) and Cardio/Workout techniques used here on Elite. That is 90% of the "secret" to getting fit, not the drugs.

I personally know a dude that dropped dead of a heart attack. Overweight, very overweight, poor diet and on steroids.

At least ou are smart enough to investigate before just jumping in and asking later.
I think if obesity is your only problem it may not be a bad idea. steroids can indirectly help you lose fat. but diabtetes is no joke and neither is our liver. I would strongly reccomend against it. try doing cardio 30 minutes to an hour 6 days a week......

thank you guys. i wont be doing it. later when i drop weight and even then i still ask what u guys think.

thanks again.

Best of luck in your journey Calvin, it's gonna be a long hard road but, the benefits at the end are very much worth the effort & dedication it takes to get there. Eat lean & train hard!

Stats

Calvin - What are your stats? How much bf do you need to lose? I've read a recent article about using Prozac and Phentrimine that bost Seritonin levels and help accelerate weight loss along with a good diet and exercise... Good Luck bro, I've been there too

450lbs at around 55% body fat. diabetic for about 1 year or 1.5 years. 6'....i doi have alot of muscle on me and really dont look as big as i weigh (i have been told by more the 3 diff. people i look like 320 or 340) but i do weight 450. im pretty strong for my on and off again type training. just today was my first day back on biceps and i hit 60lb dbs for 4 clean reps each arm...leg press was 9 plates a side for 6..etc. id like to gain strength as i try to lose weight. but if not ill just gain more when i can afford(heart wise) to eat a little more and maybe a lean small cycle later. for now its just like my diet is well right now all ive done is quit sodas which for me i use to drink around a 12 pack a day and thats around 420g sugar from just sodas and around 1600+caloires. and keepn my portions small. i do eat rice and pasta just smaller. from what i use to eat its a HUGE improvment. training i train 5 days a week at 5am(just to prove how serious i am this time) and tonight i start doing cardio (walking). gonna try and do 20 min. and get up to 60 min. a day or something around that but slow.

thanks you guys again for all your help,
big calvin

work out harder and do more cardio or just more intense cardio until you are in good enough shape to get on some gear w/o injuring yourself.

Good luck bro. The main thing is you have to stay after it. Going on and off will get you no where. You have to stay at it for a long time. DON"T GIVE UP!
And again good luck. You will see the results if you put 100% to it.

55% bf? Wowzers. Definetely don't take anything that will put stress on your heart. A good diet will totally transform you. You can find all kinds of great advice on dieting here. Best of luck to you and keep us posted!

thanks for all your support! i never really stuck to a diet cause like id go into it head on cold turkey and would end up cheating so this time im doing it a lil diff. to see if things happen better for me. cutting out small things in hope to in the end get a big reward. :) ill keep u guys posted for sure. thanks again guys

My mom recently lost over 50 pounds in about six months. She took no drugs or supplements. All she did was get one of those calculators to keep track of what she ate and limited her calories and simple carbohydrates. She stuck with it and it was amazing to watch. The key is consistency. She started eating bad again and almost instantly gained weight back. Stick with it and you will see fantastic results!

in my gym there are 3 guys that I am aware of that have lost over 80lbs very very fast. one of them is taking GH, T-3 and Test, he has probably lost more than the other two as he is now developing more muscle. the other two lost about 85 lbs each, and if you look at them know they look like guys that have been lean all of their lives. I do not know them good enough to ask them what they took to get that way. So I can't help you on that one, but I do know they work out a long time and they do work out hard.

keep up the hard work brother.

Try and keep a daily chart of ur food portions, it will really help.
If u follow a good, proper diet; with a lot of cardio and training, u should stand to lose about 150lbs in a year.

Sh*t, u might lose more..when I used to be big I lost 100lbs in 6 months.

But anyways, keep to your goal; its for your own personal benefit.

Take Care.

One of the best things you can do, especially if you don't have kids, is to take all of your cheat/junk food, put it in a bag & give it away. As long as you can be strong while at the grocery store you'll be able to make it the rest of the time. If all you've got in the house is healthy food, that's all you'll be able to eat. You will still get the cravings but, you are less likely to go out of the house & get them than you are to walk to the pantry & get them. You can still go to fast food rests, just be sure to eat things like grilled chicken salad & chicken sands (plain). My fluid intake consists of 1 cup of coffee in the AM water, milk & juice the rest of the time. When I go out to eat, it's water for me. In your case, I'd stay way from milk as much as possible. If you do drink it, make sure it's skim. I've got a fast food chart in my truck & I will see if there's a web address that you can see the same info on it. If not, you can have mine, I'll mail it to ya. It lists all the nutritional values on it by restaraunt & food.

wow! thanks guys. i didnt expect this much help from the anabolic forum, u know i see people getting flammed and shit. but thanks to all u pepz. just worked out delts and traps and feel great! had a shake before training and 2 sandwhiches just now(its not the best but i know if i had another shake i would lose it) turkey plain. and str8 right now. also just took my synthroid and glucovance. so my sugar should be gettn damn low. thanks again guys, and ill keep u posted. thanks niggas

Steroids or not you have to have a good diet to get lean. I suggest you emphasize the cardio till you drop about 100 lbs. (this will happen much sooner than you think if you are consistent with your diet and cardio)

Here's what you need to do:

Search the discussion boards for a diet that you feel comfortable with. After you find what you're looking for calculate your basic goals and you'll be ready to start.

Go to www.fitday.com and set up a profile. You can track all kinds of shit. Protein/Carb/Fat ratios, total calories, total protein, etc. I created an account there about a month ago. I can barely believe it's free. Since I started monitoring my food intake I've been able to stick with my diet. At the end of the day when I check my log and everything adds up the way it should I get a real sense of accomplishment.

One more thing - the best advice I've ever gotten from the diet board is to NEVER EAT CARBS AND FAT AT THE SAME TIME. Take these steps and you will see results.
