Steroids for Poison Ivy???

Anyone heard of a doc prescribing primo for this??

Doc will not prescribe anabolic steroids for poison ivy. What he will prescribe is predisonlone. Which is very catabolic, makes you hungry fat and hold water. It is the nastiest shit you can ever put in your body.

The doc will prescribe a corticosteroid like prednisone, as nautica said.

Yeah, if they prescribed primo - i would be rolling around in my back yard once a week.

It is funny that you asked though. b/c it never fails when some idiot at the gym gets some type of rash or his wife gets it - they are so excited about getting steroids - their intensity goes through the roof and they put on 5 lbs of water weight and think they have actually accomplished something.

I hear that this kid I work with uses everything but roids and brags about how he has tried everything. So the other week he is telling em now he has tried everything. Im like you started a cycle he tells me kind of...He got roids for his poison ivy and he gained like 15 lbs on bench in a week. I tried to explain to him what he was on etc etc but he didnt want to hear it.(i also got into a heated arguement with this fucker because he claims that orals are much safer than anything you inject, ignorant ass)
I just sat back and laughed

there is a shot available, but don't know what if it is similiar.

I am so fucking allergic to that shit,

I can walk by a poison ivy bush and the wind will be blowing, and the wind will hit the plant and bounce off and hit me and I will be covered and have to go to the hospital.
i have no sympathy for people who have never had it bad

Yes there is a shot. It is the same thing just faster acting and the sides are not as bad. I am in the same boat get it bad. I have it right now. I had a shot plus pills and then a shot plus pills again and the symptons are coming back again.

The medication they give you actually does nothing for the poison ivy. When you get it you will have it for a bout 3 weeks wether you take the medication or not. But the medication makes the symptoms go away.

Some other treatments: Cortizone cream, bath in oatmeal, aveno(which is oatmeal), bleach, dish washing detergent, swimming pools, and chlorine.

Prednisone is just a shitty drug altogether in my opinion unless you are critically ill. I work in a hospital and you wouldnt believe the shit that I see that is caused from prednisone.
