Steroids and Personal Concentration

Hello All!

I am just enquiring if anyone finds that while they are cycling, their general concentration in work, driving home etc isn't as good as it should be?

When I'm on cycle, I find myself doing loads of careless things out of not being bothered about what I'm doing. All I think about is "Have to sleep, have to rest, am I burning calories, have to eat like a motherfucker, have to get to the gym before 6pm etc" I get so obsessed, that nothing else matters. Anything that deviates away from that freaks me out. I get it into my head that I'm not maximising everything to make the most of the cycle I'm on. Hence, I notice a dip in my work performances while on a cycle and even in work, It seems like the Roids are playing mind games with me. No wonder everyone asks "Are you alright" while I'm cycling. Anyone else find they behave differently outside the gym while on cycle?

I can appreciate the dedication while "on", I think far too many people don't do enough to take advantage while using steroids. But the reality is that unless you compete, bodybuilding is just a hobby. Granted when we take it to this level and start introducing steroids and other drugs into our system it needs to be taken very serious. However, you can't let it run your life. Or define who you are.
AAS can be just as psychologically addictive as any thing else. Be sure you can handle it before you take it to that level. Not trying to bash you here, I'm just saying steroids and lifting doesn't define who you are.

Absolutely, and you are right about the obsession. When I started out I spoke to an American Bodybuilder who was studying here at the time. I'd never seen anyone as fucking huge! Anyhow, he told me his biggest problem was that he's addicted to training. I can see his point. Three years on, I feel guilty if I'm not in that gym giving it loads.

I find it a lot harder to think clearly on gear. I swear lots of Test makes me dumber.

If I don't like something (say for instance when im in work) I'll find it hard to think rationally about it.
Im a lot more likely just to go nuts and then all my mental efforts are going on keeping my cool with people.

It's hard to balance work and a cycle and do equally well in both.

When Im happy with my work situation then its a good time to cycle.
If Im trying to impress at work and get a pay rise then I go natural and put all my efforts in that side of things.

I don't know about you guys. I think it makes you more aware and focus more...I don't know what you guys are talking about. Anyone have any studies on this? I read years ago that test actually enhances brain function.

On gear, I feel smarter and have a hightened concentration and mental focus. On cycle, I don't feel as smart and focused as being on without nootropics. Off cycle I take lots of aniracetam, acetyl l tyrosine, DMAE and vapo to keep my concentration up. On cycle, I take nothing and still feel much sharper than I do with the nootropics.
