Steroid Abuse?

I was just replying to a thread about the steroids and the law and it makes me think of all the lack of correlation between the drugs steroids get compared to. Its a bit of a rant, but HOW can steroids be compared to drugs that emaciate and destroy not only the muscle tissue and body, but also the mind, relationships with family and friends....Steroids are prescribed to HIV patients to increase the length and quality of their life, so why is it we need to have a terminal diagnosis to be allowed to use something that betters one's physique and allows a person to live a stronger, healthier, more independent life for the longest amount of time? I know HRT is available, but I'm sure many in law enforcement are taught to frown upon any use, prescribed or not.
...hmmm why would anyone want to look good, be youthful and healthy?..Its just an insane thought. Its much better to get wrinkly, lose muscle mass and become weak, frail, and succeptible to injury.

It's kind of odd that as a man, I can't use testosterone to feel more like a man but a woman can easily get a prescription for it if she's interested in becoming more of a 'man' (transgender). WTF is the logic in that.

I never thought about that..
Thats stupid shit..

Government involvement in steroids is all related to sports. The greedy sports organizations push local governments into raising taxes to fund stadiums so the sports players and owners can take home even more money. Kids, and many adults, waste countless hours arm chair quarterbacking and following sports, putting the athletes up on pedestals. And at the end of the day the sports organizations, in an effort to put even more money in their greedy little hands dont even take responsibility for policing their own players. They call in the government to do their dirty work further demonizing AAS use.

If professional athletes had any balls at all they would follow the rules. If the organizations they play for werent so fucking greedy they would set rules and serious consequences (ie banned from the sport for years or life) and they would also do their own policing. Instead players take the risk and leagues by and large turn a blind eye because its all about money and gives loser politicians a platform on which to take a stand and save the world.

very good point my man,,

the point behind drugs is to make money right? So..., if somehow the pharm. lobbyists could learn that the market for this is huge and in turn they would make money from it - that would be i think the only way the "rules" would change for us. Just IMHO, i have been wrong beofre - just ask my ex's !!! :)
