Starter's Diet pt II

Just a few threads lower I posted a question about a starter's diet, but I believe it went astray because I did not provide enough information. So to be more specific:

I'm a 22-year old, 70 kilos, 1m79 guy. I'm not very serious about bodybuilding; I'm just wanting to lose a little bit of fat and gain muscle. I will do 1-hour workouts two to three times a week. I will not follow a specific program, like bulking for 2 months and then doing cardio.

I'm just wanting to know what foods I should look out for, and what foods I should avoid. I'm not wanting to keep to a strict diet either. However, I do wish to look out for things that help me gain muscle and adjust what I eat to that.

I hope I've been specific enough this time. Any help is still very much appreciated.
 
if you want to lose some fat but don't want a strict diet, the best advice i can give you is to try and cut out some of the processed foods you are eating....stuff with lots of sugar in it. if it's junk food don't eat it. eat lots of natural foods instead. substitute fruit for candy, diet soda instead of regular soda. cut calories where you can. this is how i started my diet. it slowly turned into an obsession after i shed the first few lbs and very soon a full fleged ketogenic diet.
