Spyware Remover

HG Pennypacker

New member
I just dowloaded Spyware remover because even though I have panicware, it's just not doing the job I need it to. I have to stop my browser at least 6 times a day because the popups lock it up.

The spyware remover came up with 329 problems!!!!! Yikes.

Since i'm not intimately familiar with everything displayed, how safe am I in just having everything removed?

Is there a chance I could remove something that I need to run my operating system or the internet specifically?

I use AdAware 6.0 and Spybot Search & Destroy and I always delete every piece of spyware they find. Never had a problem.

That's a shitload of spyware. BTW, do you have an updated anti-virus software and a firewall?

Whipe away! I have the same program and it works fine.

Go ahead and delete it all .... Good to run the spyware once a week....Had one where i had to go to my registry to delete it....what a pain it was...

Unless you have a program to stop the spyware from being downloaded on your computer, its not going to do much good. Things like popup stopper and panicware dont really do much of anything. If you have to run a scaning program once a week to get rid of the spyware, thats kind of a pain in the ass. Although I have tried adaware and it worked pretty good if I remember. I use spyblocker. It prevents every type of spyware from even being downloaded to my computer. You dont have to do any scans, and it runs all by itself. Its by far the best Ive seen.

Also a good way to avoid problems like spyware and viruses is (if using XP) is to not log on as admin. Log is as a user with limited privledges. That way you won't install programs like viruses and spyware without knowing. The method isn't 100% fool proof but it's a very effective method. You really don't need to be logged in as admin most of the time anyway.
