I have a 2000 square foot yard which is`nt big and a small front yard. Also 8 small trees are being watered. I got the whole thing installed for $16-$1800 I have an electronic 7 day timer, rain gauge, All plumbing and electric was provided.

well the average yard down here in florida is a 4 zone system, yard size on average is 80x120, and last i checked it was $500 per zone, so id say around 2 grand.

also, hope you have a water well, down here old farts spend over $200 a month runnin there system on city water.

go to lowes, rent a trencher (ditchwitch 1020 and up only)

it like $100, youll be happy you did.
