spider-man is dying

if you're a reader of spider-man comics you should know that he has somekind of terminal illness that no one can explain. The storyline is in all spider titles called evolve or die. looks pretty good so far.

its actually "The Other" evolve or die is the sub plot, they are gonna give him new powers. Its a 12 part crossover of the 3 main titles, each month one of the writers writes all 3 books (his own plus the two others) this months writer sucks ass, Reginald Hudling needs to be smacked for how shitty he writes Spidey, next month will be better but yea the issue comming out wed is where he is nearly beaten to death its a pretty good story cept for this Hudlin fucker, the first 3 were awesome

He has died in several different forms of death in the past anyway. He died by illness as well, when he was going crazy and the fever was running through him. He "died" in the Scarlet Spider saga. Morlun. A villain that was used in an angle a few years ago, he could only beat him by poisoning himself with radiation to break through the guys shields, doing that I think is what got him so sick to begin with. Pretty cool villain he is obsessed with killing and feeding on people with spiderman like powers, I can't really remember everything though it should be a cool issue although any sane hero in his shoes could just have one of the high power guys on the avengers kill Morlun lol oh well we'll see what happens

Yep he's back in this arc, but I think he might be dead? He wondered in Avengers tower looking for spidey and no one noticed him, even Wolverine who can smell about anything. He did say he returned from the dead, he was going to kill spidey but let him go bc he sensed his sickness and wanted to let him live a little longer I guess?

The next issue (Amazing) is the big fight between the two, the cover is bad ass!

Digger its the New Avengers, "The Avenger" team was dismantled when Scarlet Witch flipped out and killed a few of them, Thor is in Odin sleep after Ragnarock,etc

New Avengers was formed by Cap and Iron Man after some big prison break where a bunch of heroes happened to be there.

Roster is

Cap, Iron Man, Spidey, Spider Woman (Jessica Drew the original one not Carpenter) Luke Cage (power man in the 70s) Wolverine, Ronin (don't know who he/she is yet just a ninja the current arc is setting up his/her identity the only hint is ties with Daredevil and has been in one of the movies) and my fav new guy The Sentry who is basically an uber powered version of superman thats also somewhat insane and has a bad side that can kill off the entire planet easily if let out. Really fucking badass character plus he tore Carnage in half and killed him without blinking (Carnage was beating on Cage, DD, and spider woman it was awesome!) Dudes more powerful then the SIlver Surfer he beat Terrax in 2 seconds as well

no idea but I found out what organ he loses in the part comming out tomorrow. I guess after Morlun beats his ass he tears his eye out and eats it so unless his "evolution" regrows an eye with more powers to it I have no clue

tell me more. i read teh first 4 issues today. nothing about him getting beaten yet. the tracer and murlon both avoided fighting him in previous issues because of his illness. the last issue i saw today was dr strange telling him he was going to die.

yea you just read Freindly #2, MK is the next part followed by Amazing which just came out today. Hudlin is a shitty writer so issues 4-6 don't expect much writing wise, but Amazing came out today and was just one huge fight. Morlin ambushes him and they fight across NY, Spidey lets loose and thinks he won, only for Morlin to start laughing and say he will tell his family he put up a good fight but its time to die. He then beats the snot out of him, his mask gets torn up, and out of nowhere Morlin grabs his eye, tears it out, and eats it saying "delicious" next page is basically Pete getting beaten to death and the last is him lying bloody and dying on the ground. I assume someone saves him start of the next part but it was an intense comic, Deodato is a great artist too

He already had 8 eyes last year. Remember that lady that Cap America was after did something to him? He was really turning into a spider again. ( for like the 4th time in his history)

Maybe the entire "other" and evolve and die is a way to have him exit the Avengers, because really, I never saw Spiderman fitting in very well with a team. He is much better solo.

I never thought he would fit in well either but I do like him with the New Avengers, a lot of people on that team are normally solo types, it works well have you read the series at all?
I remember that storyline with that lady spider chcik, that was during the whole dismantling of the original avengers thing. I know for sure though that he's not leaving the New Avengers cuz of solicitations for that mag that are still months off and the artist for ASM is about to take over on NA
