How quickly is soy protein digested ?

slowly like casein ?

Fast like whey ?

..and it is best to take it ?
after workout, before bed ?
 
Soy protein is a medium-slow digesting protein. It's good almost anytime, though you need to watch taking minerals too close to a large serving of soy by itself. 50:50 soy and whey proteins make an awesome meal replacement protein since you get the benefits of both the quicker and slower proteins in a drink you can slam down fast.

I was also thinking about a 80/20 (whey/soy) after workout
and 20/80 before bed

no, powder (faster and easier digestion)

but tempeh, tofu,... are also good sources of proteins
