Has anyone been there? If so, what was your experience? What is it like?
I have about 6 months to kill before my Master's program starts up and now have an opportunity to teach in South Korea ---- but I have to leave soon. So I am interested in hearing any experiences....

Thanks in advance,

A

ps this is all conditional on the North Koreans not getting all fucked up and blowing the whole place to shit with their nukes.

I was there for a year as a Cavalry Scout, Div.Cav. out of Camp Gary Owen(Pelham). I would recomend going to Seoul for sure, visit Hooker Hill ( Itaewon) down the road from the main Army camp, the zoo is nice, the economy went to crap while I was there so I bought up CD's at around 7 bucks new, they don't believe in tipping at any place that serves food, heard down south really kicks ass in the summer. Found good rappelling, silk custom suits for around 100 with silk shirt and silk tie same with leather goods, check out the russian women on business at the clubs (hot), did'nt know then but anadrol and test is cheap, everyone is crooked there so watch out, always talk them down on prices, shopping Namdaemun or TDC by Camp Casey. Sorry never went south of Seoul, you could spend a year in Seoul and still find new shops or clubs(open till 8 am) :drink2:, Other than the big cities the rest sucked bad, it becomes third world in parts. Very polite people and the country/mountains are beautiful.(besides all the demo rigged bridges, landmined rice patties, bunkers, machinegun nests north of Seoul.
