Sound Advice delivery sucks.

I was suppose to get my tv tomorrow (Wednesday). However, they call this morning and ask if I wanted to have it delivered today. I say yeah. So they say, it will be there before 2.

It is 355PM now, no tv. So I call and they tell me they are running behind and will reschedule it. I ask what time tomorrow and they say it will be more like Thursday evening or Friday morning. I tell them no, that I had an scheduled delivery time tomorrow anyhow. They inform me that since I changed it, Weds. time is no longer valid.

So I speak with the manager since he's my buddy anyway. He is tells me don't go anywhere because I will have my tv today. He is going to have an employee deliver it in their car. (since it was a floor model, there is no bulky box for it to be in.)

It better be quick. I want to go workout. I haven't worked out since Saturday as I was too tired yesterday. And I have to be at dinner at 730PM dammit.

It's gonna get beat to hell in the trunk of some kids car ?
F that..

This is one of the reasons I own a Pick Up..

When I worked at an a/v store several years ago, we used to shoehorn some big ass tv's in some really small cars. My store was next to an expensive college in Boston, and the Euro-trash would pull up in their BMW's and want the 32 inch Sony right now...so we would take it out of the box, open the passender door wide, recline the seat all the way, and absolutely stuff the tv in the car.

I often wondered how these guys were able to get them out on the other end.

What the fuck??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

My tv just arrived in the trunk of an.... you ready for this? AUDI TT convertible.

Good lord, I ain't shitting you. I took a pic of the car after he removed it.

It is just a 32 incher. But I didn't think you could get a lunch box in the back of an Audi. Damn.

When I come back from dinner, I will post some pics of this.

I've taken my 32" TV to the repair shop in the back of a Honda Civic CRX a couple of times.

It helped that it was flat and wasn't in the box. But I wasn't expecting a tv to come out of that small space.

I think the trunk in the TT passes through to the interior.

I wasn't kidding. This is the Audi it arrived in. Look at that trunk. And there is no backseat either.

Also, there was no wall brackets for it either. Dude left them at the store. Now I have it on the guest bed until tomorrow when I go out myself (don't leave it to them) to pick up the brackets.

Sponge really getting on my nerves with his whining too.

This is my main baby. She was getting antsy with a new pet in the house. Had to reassure her that she was still Queen Bee.

Well set up.

Appears to be a lively home, quite contrary to the image of a "cocky arrogant narcisstic ass slapper".

I need a TV like this too.

Well I am only cocky arrogant and narcisstic on Mondays. Tuesdays too. And some Wednesdays. Come to think of it, quite a few Thursdays lately as well. Fri.... well you know the rest.

That is a plasma.

Yeah, I freaked too when he placed it face down. But he told me it was all gas inside. Nothing to worry about.

On the bad side, if he is wrong... it is fucked.

On the plus side, if he is wrong... I get a brand new one at no charge. Not just a floor model.

I always heard that you're supposed to keep them upright or else it messes them up - and even that some have a level on the inside to see if the thing was tipped for warranty purposes. Even on the box it says "this side up"

dont know for sure though
