when a deaf & mute person thinks to him/herself...what language does he/she think in?

That's an intersting question. To me, the notion of "thinking in a language" is difficult anyway. I'm dyslexic (which BTW is not simply a condition where you see letters or words backwards.)

I predominately "think" in images of sorts. Conceptual maps flow through my minds eye, constantly shifting and restructuring among each other.

stop thinking with your eyes and start thinking with your brain instead. see how your dyslexia worksout after that

how could you learn to read if you cant hear how words are pronounced?

blind people read in braile (sp). deaf people read in whatever language they are taught

blind people read in braile because they can still hear what the different dots represent...and they can speak the words outloud. if you are born deaf and blind, you cant be taught to understand a verbal language.

It's not a visual thing at all, it more like cognitive symbol encoding/reading.
