No matter how many source checks you do, no matter how many mods/vets say he's legit, no matter how many times in the past you bought from that source, YOU CAN STILL GET SCAMMED and there's nothing anyone could have done to prevent it. Of course all that stuff at the top lessens your chances of getting scammed, but like I just said, CHANCES. Just take real life for instance, say you are going to buy a new car from Toyota. You ask a bunch of your friends about the local Toyota dealer and they all say they love it. You check with the better business bureau and they have an excellent rating. So you go and buy a new MR2 Spyder. You even get a real good deal on it. Then a month later your engine blows!!! You have it towed to the Toyota service station and they say that it's not covered under warranty cuz it's the driver's fault. Now you never even so much as sped in the car so you know it wasn't anything you did. But they still say no. So you call a lawyer, speak to the BBB and still, they refuse to fix it and they even want you to pay their service fee for looking at it!!! Now, you're so mad that you start yelling at all your friends who recommended the place. You start screaming at the BBB on the phone. Then you come to the realization that, the only person to blame is the Toyota dealer.
Well, the morale to this story is: at anytime you can get scammed and the source is the only person you can blame, AND don't ever send out more money than you can afford to lose. That's just a lesson everyone should have learned a long time ago from REGULAR LEGAL life, not just from the gear game.
I bring up this point cuz it seems that more than one good source has started scamming lately, the only difference is, the new ones learned from JR and just make sure to get the word out that they got busted, but the only mistakes they make are that they get greedy and pick up cash from WU after they supposedly got busted.
