LOOKOUT BITCHES! Silver and Black.. Ready to attack.
LOS ALTOS, Calif. (AP) - After 16 record-setting years in the Bay Area, Jerry Rice doesn't want to stray far from his mansion,
his friends and his fans.
Rice, who set every significant NFL receiving mark while winning three Super Bowls with San Francisco, was released by the 49ers Monday.
He is expected to sign with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, with plans to play at least two more years.
Steve Mariucci, who coached Rice in his final four seasons in San Francisco, already was thinking about the 49ers' Aug. 19 preseason game on Candlestick Point against the Raiders.
"That's going to be weird, won't it?" Mariucci asked. "I bet he'll come over to our sideline by mistake."
