Just so you know, Techno is a stand alone genre. Trance, house, and hard house are not Techno.
Genres in Techno are things like Tribal Techno and Minimalist Techno.

if you want 'techno' with balls try d&b, most popular tunes for the last 3 years have been basically techno/trance with more complex beats & much darker basslines.
download everything by Accidental Heros (best tracks imo 'alienator') black sun empire (smoke, the rising pretty much everything else), bad company (any thing pre '02), subwave (bad ambitions), c4c, sinthetix etc

FFS!!! Techno has nothing to do with DnB or Breaks! DnB is DnB and Breaks is Breaks.
Stop using Techno as a term for dance music.
I would name some artists but Techno probably isn't what you're after.
