some 'A-material' that went amiss

a few months ago I was at a judo club christmas party, about 20-30 guys and a few girls who do judo at my club....now some banyter was flowing back and forth and my husky build came up in conversation and there was some poking of my flanges with fingers....so I throw out the line 'Careful, don't mess with me, I know judo' suddenly smiling faces turned to ones of recentment and disapointment and really lowered the level of good feeling in the air
