softball swelling in thigh -- help

I got a call from a friend last night who is getting concerned about the pain and swelling he is suffering following an upper-quad injection of sus.
He said it was very swollen for about 3 days, then he did a quad workout and now has a lump the size of a softball. I asked him if he thought an absess was developing but he was confident that this wasnt the problem. Has anyone had experience with this degree of swelling? How long should I tell him to wait it out before seeing a doctor?

I would think from what you just said, he needs to go see the doctor now.

Hmmmm if it is the size of a soft ball after 3 days, and is painful to touch, I would have him make an appointment to see the doc.

if it is the t-400 it may be a reaction to the EXTREMELY high alcohol content- but as the others said a trip to the doctor is a good idea.

GET HIS ASS TO THE DOCTOR...THEY WILL NEED TO LANCE THAT AND DRAIN THE FLUID OUT....IT COULD BE INFECTION....DID HE SHOOT 1 AMP OF SUS OR 3....I SHOT 3CC'S ONE TIME IN MY QUAD AND HAD A SIMILAR LUMP...HURT LIKE A BITCH TO....GET IT CHECKED AND KEEP US POSTED.

Sus as in Suspension?
Yeah, I got that type of reaction before. I just shoot less ccs now in each shot. I got all nervous as if I had an abcess or some shit but it went away.

Is the area of the lump red and warm? Even if it isn't, I would still get a doc to check him out.

is the area bruised? chances are it will go down in the next couple of days, but better safe than sorry, see a doc.

see a doc to be safe. this happened to me last week. went to the doc and he gave me a shot and some oral anitbiotics. finally went away in about 6 days. he said i was lucky i caught it early, so i suggest your freind do the same. good luck
