It is incredibly rough. Gaining lost trust and respect is very hard.

But oddly enough, our marriage is unbelievably stronger now.


A bit of advice: even if your marriage is fine....go to a counselor. It's like an Orpah show devoted to the two of you! And you find out stuff you never knew, about yourself and your spouse (significant other for the non-heteros).
