So much for Russian Academia

What a tool.

A Russian scholar is predicting that the United States' current financial crisis will lead to the breakup of the country.

Igor Panarin, a professor at the diplomatic academy of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told the newspaper Izvestia on Monday that America will break apart into six regions following the crisis.

"Dissatisfaction is growing, and it is only being held back at the moment by the elections, and the hope that [President-elect] Obama can work miracles," according to a translation by Bloomberg. "But when spring comes, it will be clear that there are no miracles."

Panarin predicts the U.S. will split into: the Pacific, the South, Texas, the Atlantic coast, the central states and the northern states, and hinted that Alaska could be Russia's for the taking.

The professor said China and Russia will become the world's great regulators.

Don't be so swift to condem him. There is an inkling of truth behind what he says. I suggest you try reading 'Civil War II; The Coming Breakup of America' written by Thomas Chittum. Here is a link to a PDF version of the book: http://www.resist.com/CWII.pdf

Written 12 years ago, Thomas Chittum lays out the steps for the disintegration of the USA. What is frightening is things are actually happening at a faster rate than he predicted.

Wanna break up the country?

Make gas fly to 7 dollars a gallon. The country will fall apart within 24 hours.

4 years ago Americans thought houses were awesome investments. Don't put too much faith in what stupid americans think. Russian is our masters, not the other way around.

It would be nice to carve-out an ultra fiscally-conservative southeastern US.

I'm not saying that America isn't in for some hard times. The next decade or two are going to gargle chode as the US slips into international obscurity. But a complete break up? That will begin this spring? Come on. And the world had better hope this doesn't happen. I mean we have more nukes than anyone.

Nukes + Instability = Bad

Good thing is Texas will be its own Country. We can afford to put a fence around us.

TN would have to probably merge with Georgia, Virginia, Kentucky and Alabama. Maybe we can get an exemption and keep Atlanta out of the mix.

Those States are precluded from TX because they have no socially redeming value, although KY makes good Jack D, Nah, they still are out. We make Tito's here better and less filling.

Oh my gentile Jesus! Jack is from Tennessee!

Well, damn. I don't drink it so I figured it was from one of those places that have school busses planted in their front yard. I am so sorry! These States are great places to live if you can avoid tornados, they always suck your home into space.

I hope my single wide is not gonna be next!

Not really that many tornados in TN -- not sure we've ever had a "real" on in knoxville. I'm guessing east TN is far too mountainous.

This is the home of the Tail of the Dragon. It's 318 turns in 11 miles, complete with a tree of shame sporting parts of bikers who got a little over-zealous.
