So I had that wheat grass ish today

a 2oz job. it wasn't as bad as I expected. it tasted like...grass.

what exactly are the health benefits?

All your veggie requirments for the day in a 2oz cup. I'm going to actually start growing my own, cut that shit up in the morning and toss it in the ol' juicer. They charge way to much for it IMO

i'm pretty sure it will. imagine, if you will, this scenario:

1. get close to her. find her when she's shopping or whatever else a truly dumb bitch likes to do.

2. spill some wheat grass juice on the floor, in front of you.

3. slip on the juice, bump into her, knocking her down, landing on top of her.

4. (this part is key) just after the fall, dry hump IMMEDIATELY. but only 1 or 2 quick pelvic thrusts. you have to make it seem like part of the accident, so it all has to happen very closely together.

5. post up on EF about it.

Shit is very touchy to grow (I thought about it myself, but I can't handle the hassle), powdered is about half as potent and a lot more convenient if you haven't tried it:

KB, probably the greatest benefit to wheat grass juice is that it is an extremely potent source of natural chlorophyll, making it a very potent antioxidant and natural detoxifier.

The fresh stuff is amazing though, an incredibly powerful detoxifier.

Thanks MM. Do you know of any studies done on it you can share? I read a little about it and aside from the chlorophyll thing, it's other nutrient/vitamin benefits seem to be somewhat debatable compared to reasonable amounts of other green veggies.

Studies, nope.

But you gotta remember something, wheatgrass falls into the category of "alternative medicine." Ergo, in terms of conventional western medicine, it's bullshit.

In fact, here's an article that tells you how studies basically disprove much of the hype:

Now, here's what I'll tell you, the shit can benefit the body, if taken regularly, and in the right fashion (i.e., first thing in the morning, before anything else or on an otherwise extremely empty stomach).

You can research positive anecdotal opinion based articles all over the place.

But if you're looking for empiric facts, nope, can't help you.

Alternative medicine is right up there with chiropractic therapy. You either find that it works, it's benefitted you, and you stick with it, or you've never been helped or haven't the confidence to try.

I mean I have a personal theory why it may be more beneficial than your average vegetable, but it's late and I'm in no condition to try to explain biophotonics right now.

Put it this way, no matter what, you certainly didn't do yourself any harm.
