I'm thinking of buying a '98 indy 500 for $2,000. Liquid cooled with 2,100 miles on it. I'm just looking for a good trail sled, nothing crazy...I think this is a good buy whatta think?

I'm headed back to Canada for ice fishing this winter,last year i rode one that would hit 120 mph.

I had it up to a 100 in about 15 " of snow on the lake.

Anyway, they are fun as hell.

where I live in michigan we get a shit load of snow and everyone rides sleds...the town I'm in gets taken over by sleds in the winter...I live right on the trail, it's fun...

I have a Ski Doo Summit with 2" track. Used to be great then it suddenly....very suddenly became a whole lot slower.

Dangerous because I can't climb back up steep hills.

Exact thing happened to my boat.....which.....was.....fast as hell.

Exact same year.

Noticed the changes in 2002 and quit using them due to total disappointment. I like performance when I buy performance.

Did not use them in 2000/2001. They worked extremely well in 1999.


But how could that possibly have anything to do with Republicans?

Polaris and Yamaha are also good.

Yamaha's start very dependably.

Ski Doo's and Polaris get an occassional attitude...I have walked out a few times. Then it starts like a clock the next morning.

Which indicates flooding. Easy to flood when the sled gets upside down or on its side. You have to yank your bloody arms off when it is flooded. Tough to do with 40 pounds of clothing.....which you need when going 70 mph and it zero.

damn, just sealed the deal this morning. I now own this machine.
