ok i have a question about getting gear from mexico...its not a exactly a question of how to get it back across the border...believe me i know that is not a question for the board..even though i would love to know some tricks of the trade...lol...so hopefully this wont get locked...but everyone says not to mail gear from mexico back to the states...why is that...several of my friends have had good success with getting gear from overseas why not mexico??...please dont flame me if this is a stupid question i was just curious why??

Mexico is a flagged country. Everything sent (especially from tourist and border towns) is heavely scrutinized!!! Chances of success are not very good!!

one reason that I can say from personal experience is that even though I did get it through I almost didnt. In sending from cancun they open your prepackaged box or whatever you are sending and search through it for drugs. I just happened to hide it very well. This was from the post office. The second package wasnt so lucky. I hid gear in a souvenoir that I had bought over there, I brought it to a mail box ect. or something like that. They didnt open my package but made sure to tell me it would be going through customs.. Well I received the package with the souvenoir but minus the grand worth of gear. A typed out piece of paper came with it stating american customs took the juice.. Bacicly they opened it after i left and took my goodies. US customs would have kept the whole package. Anyway just order mail order it is a whole lot less aggrevation.

well if you send some vet gears that are legal and sending it
its not against the law

in jurist term its is not!
