10 units of insulin is 1/10th of a cc, is this correct? It just seems to me that 10 units of insulin is very little.

That's correct- and 10 units of insulin will do quite a lot.

on typical 29 ga U-100 pins hold 30iu points.
That is 3/10th of a cc.
3 pins filled at 30 slin iu points is almost a cc. (not much but correct) 4 pins filled to 25iu points is 1 cc.
Never do even close to 1/2 cc of at once of slin!.
Use slin IU points bro!
I know of a guy a few yrs back did a cc or 2 really fucked him up. He's lucky to be alive.
a bottle of slin last long time type human "R" is best. OTC or behind the counter legal here, just ask for human "r" slin 16.00.
