skincare 101

i be kiz

New member
I've had pretty bad acne for the last few years, and now that i'm on accutane (which has worked amazingly so far and i've only been on it a few weeks) i want to think more about how to treat my skin correctly. while i was on all the acne perscriptions i used those creams and cleaned with cetaphil (face soap) but i want to know what i should be doing now that i couldn't do before or should have been doing the whole time (exfoliation, moisturizing)

so could someone teach me the basics of taking care of my now somewhat clear skin?

personally I just exfoliate my face before shaving in the morning...and then use cetaphil lotion afterwards.

I still get a little acne though need to find out why

if u on accutane, always stay moisturized w/ spf to minimize scarring... i'd hit up the insurance for some dermabrasion/ chem peels after you all done to make sure you're gravy

if u got stuck on an hmo, u can get your doc to refer you to a dermo, then just talk the the dermo mano y mano and tell him u can't afford it but need it... usually there are ways to do it, i.e. tell ur insurance if u dont you'll have increased risk of melanoma in the future or some bs.

damn my mom does those chemical peals i think.... microdermabrasions???????

should i be hittin her up? lol

i'm not sure if i need one cuz my dermo said she wanted to put me on accutane before scarring started (apparently i had none) so i may not need it...anyways i went to sephora today...and i have to be honest Issey Miyake was better than B-touch to me.
