...as we get further into the fall, i must now start worrying about the fact that i will once again take a winter vacation (oh no!). i must again prepare myself for the "brutal" stretch south to the caribbean and all of its wondrous luster (ie - ultraviolet rays). tanning will be in order within the next few months. but i have questions and concerns. my skin is sensitive and mildy prone to acne (which is responding quite nicely to a little proactiv action and old fashioned SLEEP). i am not new to tanning before vacations, but want to know what i can do to make the best of things this year. i want to keep my skin as healthy and blemish free as possible, while maximizing my tanning before the trip. so i guess i need advice on the following...
tyrosine? do some people use this for tanning? hints anyone?
tanning accelerators? what are these? are they worth anything at all?
facial lotions with essential vitamins (ie - vit c and e): where can i find such lotions? i've read numerous things about their benefits on skin.. are there tanning lotions with such vitamins?
hydration tips anyone?
i want to leave drugs like oxsoralen and trisoralen (sp?) out... i don't really feel like dealing with those things. and i've heard that canthaxanthin (sp? again) can make you turn orange.
so i dunno what i'm tryin to say, but skin experts, help me out!
