Skin - Question/Appearance

I've noticed over the last few weeks that my skin feels "paper-thin" - there's still FAT under there, but it feels like it's seperating itself from the layer of fat???

On another note - I am noticing more and more veins showing all over my chest, but they can't pop up through fat, can they?

I am (in no way) "lean" right now, so does any of this make sense to any of you.

This is all new to me, cause I have never had to come back from being THAT fat and out of shape before...

Any help would be much appreciated

most likely improved insulin sensitivity (from both exercise and supplements) has reduced sub-cutaneous water retention)

Though, if your signature is correct, and you are currently using "dex" then this (as well as other AI's will reduce subQ water)

really depends on what else you are taking (but no those are not uncommon effects)

Youre in a cutting cycle, right?
When losing fat skins feels fluffy at first but then it gets incredible tightness and hardness.

let me say this first MAC - you're a bigger man than I am. Thanks for replying - that's some "real" shit. I guess I had you pegged wrong - and I am openly admitting I WAS WRONG and I apologize.

Now - back to "me" ;) so this sub q water is something I have been holding for "years"?
Plus, around my "gut" - (still not a 6-pack) I can pull just the think layer of skin about 2 inches out - is that from fat I've lost?

I'm still wondering how veins appear on-top or "in" a fatty bodypart (like the chest)

as you age (and gain fat) your insulin sensitivity and oestrogen levels rise. these are not the only things that cause water retention and subcutaneous fat maintainance, but they are among the primary causes. Since you have been addressing those issues you will see a reduction in the end products of those metabolic problems.

the "low tire" is a common oestrogenic expression issue (belly distention is different-- ie the "pot belly") though can also be tied to cortisol and insulin sensitivity.

And the veins? being more vascular while still holding fat?

yes, two reasons. One- reduction of subcutaneous fat and water and two- increase in blood volume (due to training and/or gear- or even just increased natural testosterone because of less aromatase- fatloss and/or aromatase inhibition)

Everyone has different places where they tend to get lean faster. Some have veins on their arms, chest and shoulders, but can't even see their top abs. You're probably dropping some water and bodyfat, which is behind the result. In due time, when you shed enough bodyfat, you'll notice everything come out nice and hard :coffee:

Didn't you say you were using GH now? If so, the "thin skin" is supposed to be a effect of GH. (so Iv'e read anyway)

Not after 2 days......... ;)

Oh...I did not hear how long you have been on...I just remembered reading a post about it. Anyway, thin skin is a blessing in the BB community...Maybe it is a sign of things to come.

There could be an old Twinkee under some of that fat from a few years ago

If you're noticing channels of veins at >16% bf, just imagine how vascular you'll be once you cut up. Before I started cutting, all the veins I could see underneath the skin eventually started popping out more and more the leaner I got. I even got em in my lats now. Not really in my chest, but that would look killer if I did. You're lucky bro!

I'm just happy I don't need a sports bra to get on the treadmill anymore............
