hey whats up guys and gals, well i tan using a tanning bed, but when lay down in the tanning bed, I use a dark towel to cover my face. i cover my face because i dont my face to age, i just like to have some color in my face and just want a really tan body. well i am asking when i put the towel over my face and ears etc....will that help me against skin cancer and aging in the face......i know ppl can get skin cancer on the rest of the body, but usually it is on the face, ear, nose .....thganx for your time

lol i was born there.....and BTW it is winter there now anyways.......even though i live in the USA, where the weather is nice, i still prefer tanning beds,......takes 12-15 mintutes thats it

if you were 100% concerned with skin cancer you wouldn't be tanning at all. skin cancer is the #1 increasing cancer in the U.S. give yourself an examination every so couple months and look for any new "spots" or any existing ones that have any change in them, especially if your fair skinned, blonde hair, and have any history of sun exposure. never knew this shit until a family member got diagnosed with melanoma. But to answer your question - I'm not sure if covering your face under ultraviolet rays will help any.

i just had a basal cell removed from face, they told me to stay out of the tanning bed, but i am fair skinned.

i also had an irregular mole removed.

i know people who had skin cancer, and i dont want to go down that path. contrary to what many of you may believe, you just cant always 'cut off' the area that is cancerous. it spreads and attacks all of your other vital organs like every other form of cancer.
