Silent Hill

I checked out this movie in the theatre over the weekend.

Overall...I think it's the best video game adaptation I've seen to date. Unfortunately, that doesn't really say a whole lot. There aren't many other video game based movies that have been worth much. The Resident Evil movies were decent, but by no means good movies. Doom was godawful.

All in all though, Silent Hill makes for a good horror flick. Where I think Resident Evil took a more action based approach, Silent Hill kept the horror aspect of the game intact. I think the ending could've been a bit stronger...but it wasn't necessarily bad. The special effects were really good, some nice gory seens as expected, and the music fit the movie well.

I'd recommend this movie, but I'm sure it's not gonna fit the bill for everyone. I think the best accomplishment is that the movie actually does the game justice for a change, even if it isn't perfect.

Know nothing about the game, saw the movie & thought it was pretty bad. Not scary enough, some gorey parts were ok... I wouldn't recommed it.

Plot was a little on the geigh side,but special/creature effects were off the hook.Had some pretty unique gore scenes too that made me cringe.All in all I thought it was decent.
