i just recently got into this show and thought the character was lame and boring. im thinking that if it wasnt for george and kramer's characters, the show would not have done as well as it did

Since Curbed your Enthusiasm came out, I really noticed how much Larry David really took that show to another level and that George was based on himself.

well thats part of the funniness, that jerry is the more normal and mild one, of the neurotic elaine, paranoid self esteem lacking george, then therese kramer, newman, putty, the seinfeld parents, the costanzas, peterman and so on.

Yup, you need a straight guy to play off of. if they were all crazy it wouldnt have had the same effect.

why not? its worked on other series. i just think that sienfelds character was too dull for the series. and i sincerily hope those jokes at the beginning are supposed to be funny

I saw around 30 episodes filmed on location, it was so fun. Jerry would come out and do standup for the audience b4 hand... btw he was an integral part to the writing in that show. Kramer isn't that nice in person, George is great in person, Elaine whines a lot, and Jerry is never around unless their filming. The crowd at the live filmings always chanted for Newman of all people...

I got all 10 seasons on 23 DVD's. They're great. George is my favorite.
