So I like this shy guy, and I know for a fact he likes me. He has talked to a mutual friend about how much he'd like to date me. But he never asks me out. I have dropped some pretty broad hints about hooking up, but he never quite gets up the nerve to do more than say, "I hope we can get together sometime soon." Suggestions please.

Actually I wasn't quite that up front, but I think that The Project is right, and I should be. I just hinted and said that he should call me.

1)I agree...guys, in general, don't take HINTS!

2)I agree...ask him OUT! It's 2002...just go for it

3)If he's timid, DON'T overdo it, though...don't wear anything too "freaky" or intimidating (meaning, he looks at you, and has to sit down immediately, LOL!)...shy guys, if they REALLY are shy, are more intimidated (scared) of beautiful women, than they are really quiet/shy...IMHO.

4)I used to be shy...I'm not anymore.

Maybe he doesn't want to go out with you. Do you know for a fact that he does? Is this "mutual friend" a reliable source of information? Or is it just an assumption or hearsay?

Just open your legs while on the date with no thongs on, he will get the hint. That is a true hint.
