should I up propecia for the cycle?

hay guys, on a normal level i have been taking propecia consecutively for the last 2 years..however now that i am cycling, and i get scripts for propecia, should i up the dosage to 2mgs since i am cycling? thanks

Go with proscar instead. It is the same substance and alot cheaper. What is your reason for taking it? Hair loss or to protect your prostate?

Hair lose but the dermatologist will only give me script for propecia and i dont wnat to pay anymore money that i dont need tol.

Agreed. If the doc is prescriping propecia, why won't he prescribe proscar? Its the same substance. He should know that. On dosage, opinions will range from 1mg ED to 5mg ED. In between there, I don't think there really is a right answer. You need to play with it a bit to find the dosage that works for you. For prostate, most think 1mg ED is sufficient.

Agreed, proscar is much cheaper and a better choice if your doc will write a script for it.
If you are using anything other than testosterone on your cycle, propecia/proscar will not stop the hair loss realted to the other anabolics. Topical spirnolactone and nizoral should be used in this case.

I up it too; can I prove it makes a difference? No. But I do it, and I use Nizoral, as well.
Some docs buy into the drug company party line that Merck should be "rewarded" for their R&D costs for getting Propecia approved for hair loss, and that it's wrong to prescribe Proscar for hair loss. Whatever...

If you are using nothing but test (single ester or a blend such as sust) will propecia/proscar stop or dramatically reduce hairloss?

finasteride is ideal for test. horrible for deca, mixed bag for eq and winny. this is based on what i have seen/understood.
