well, not shave it, but trim it down to something more "normal?"

i figured i'd ask opinions here.

dude you got the pennslyvania look, your Altoona brethren would be proud...

it's been long like this for, uh, quite some time. i've trimmed it back a few times in the past year. then i get lazy and forget.

i also have a bad habit of forgetting to shave, but i've got a babyface, so i can go a few days no prob.

It depends. Where do you live and what do you do?I don't really care by the way. I'm just getting drunk.

Trim it, you billygoat. You got a trimmer? They work good. I have to do it every 3 or 4 days. Unless you like it like that. THe heck with what everyone else thinks.

I think you should hide behind even more facial hair.

I mean, it works for me...

central PA.

college student, dad.

that's about all i do.

I say shave it off for the sake of doing something different. feels good to switch things up every now and then plus girls love when a dude cuts his hair or dramatically changes something in his appearance.

a trimming is definetly in order. need to charge teh clippers though, so i might just do it with scissors.

mr. db - i'd hide behind more facial hair, but everything else grows so damn slow i'd look like an idiot.

ok, fine, like even more of an idiot.

Trimming with scissors often leads to trimming mistakes that can only be fixed by shaving. Been there done that. :(

Don't feel like you're the only one, my beard is funny too. The goatee area comes in nice and thick, but all the rest of it is like pubic hair. At age 48, in an act of unparallelled optimism, I'm attempting to grow my first ever pair of sideburns. They're pretty damned sad, they'll have to go soon, it's a lost cause.

thank god i'm not the only one!

for some unknown reason i can't connect the stache to the chin, but it still looks ok. got a blank spot in the middle of the stache, but oh well, that happens too. rest of the stache comes in nicely, and the chin does as well.

i'm yet again attempting sideburns and failing miserably. time to shave 'em off again.

the clippers are charging up as we speak. been a while. i'm gonna start with the longest attachment and i'll post up another pic. we'll see how bad it looks.

thanks.

i hate trimming it cause i feel so naked afterwards.

well, when the trimmers are charged, i'll get at it. i'm also gonna trim the nether regions, as they need it too. it's not a jungle down there, just an over grown lawn. like to keep it like a putting green.

batteries in the clippers went dead when i got to this length (still about 1" long). they're charging again, i think i'm going shorter too.

comments? questions?

shave the rest when you can, if you don't like it, it will always grow back. I just went through the same shit. It felt good to shave it off, after a couple of weeks though I grew it back.

It will be worth it, I promise, and so what if it takes a few weeks to grow back, the change of appearance just to yourself is always fun to screw with.
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOOSE!

I think u should shave it..:) keep the stache tho....but shave the abe lincoln thing......
hey crak is ur hair red or blond? my ex had blonde hair but his facial hair was red....do u have irish in u?

I've had facial hair for so long now that I really do not remember what I look like without it. I've pretty much had the stache since high school and the goatee since 98

I had a gap between the moustache and the chin hair, that somehow mysteriously filled in sometime in my mid-40s. I must be experiencing the longest puberty in human history.

read above - doesn't connect, have same puberty problem mr. db has, challenging him for the longest male puberty in recorded history.

it's trimmed down to less than half it's origonal length. i'll trim it up some more tomorrow when i shave. the stache is staying for now. i had it shaved off for a few months already, but got lazy over the last month and just trimmed with scizzors.

You've got another 20 years to go before you can challenge my record.

trim...i shaved mine off and hated it.

err, correction - i started late in the growing facial hair department. by 12 or so i think i was jerking off at least once a day.

I say get rid of hit completely or keep it as is. The trimmed up goatee is OUT, it was barely in at all.. but that was in the 1990s... but 9 out of 10 women say they hate them, seriously.

Take a razor to both your goat and 'stache. Don't try anything more than 2 days worth of stubble. Lots of facial hair just doesn't look that good.

i love goattees...but thats not lookin' too appealing.
shave it.

I can tell by your shirt that you are a really classy gentleman.

A class act such as you should trim it a bit so that it doesnt soak up any wine whilst imbibe at the wine tastings and operas that you attend.

why r u on a fitness board?

u look like joke...maybe stop posting and get in the gym or get a job...
