Should I reinstall AIM?

I haven't reinstalled it since I rebuilt my computer last...just running Yahoo.

Do you have friends on AIM? If so, then why not? What could it hurt?

Just run ad-aware after every session, especially the chats, 'cause it dumps adware on your system.

I am new to yahoo, but it resets my homepage every time I run it. If anyone knows how to stop this gayness please share.

If I remember right, it's a setting you choose when you install it.

I made sure to uncheck all of those "set my homepage" crap.... its pretty much bare bones. I'll have to investigate.

Also remove the Yahoo browser companion, and the mail shit. You just need the messenger.

Use Trillian for AIM/AOL and MSN. Use Yahoo for Yahoo and you are set. The new Yahoo Instant messenger truly blows all other IMs away.

I used to be such a Netscape fan back in the day...

Me too, until Version 4.0 came out and took a crap all over my system, and I discovered that IE4 was as good or better in every way. I continued to hope that Nutscrape would regain their former superiority, but by N 4.6, I realized that it was just getting worse and worse, so I uninstalled it and never tried it again.

I'm also pissed at Netscape because I used to pay for the annual upgrade license thing, and they went FREE about a week after I made a payment.
