My wife's a hs Biology teacher and frequently brings home classroom pets like turtles. Right now we have a hissing cockroach. Had snakes, lizards, etc. Some turtles are cool looking.

Yes, you should go to the humane society and get one before it is put to sleep. Do your part to help the turtle overpopulation problem. Have your turtle spayed or neutered. ;-P
