Anyone know any good excercises that would help shot-putters? Anyone else hear throw or used to throw? How far?

i mess around with it.. HS track.. and it doesnt matter how dmn strong you are neither.. its all technique.. there are a couple excersis you can do with dumbelss.. but its hard to explain.. step up on a step while throwing the dumbell in the air (dont let it go of coarse) like a shotput at the same time...

Yep, my thoughts exactly.

Also, half-squats one leg at at time. Go half-way down and explode up onto your toes. That should help with the explosion you need to throw.

This can also be done 2 legs at a time but there will be so much wieght on the bar that you could cause some serious injures.
