there is a lot of back and forth on this, i have read alot too about this and the only thing that is missing is people who have done them having anything to say about the experience. i have seen a couple of people who said they had done them and had good results but the majority responding are those who think that a short cycle is useless.
the reported benefits of a short cycle is that you hit the juice hard and fast, then get off after about 12-14 days. this limited amount of time is enough to slow down your production of endogenous test but not long enough to shut off your HTPA. thus, recovery is faster and you are able to do another cycle in 4-6 weeks. additionally, it is felt that since you only will gain 9-10 pounds, you can keep more of them, about 7, and this is a number your body has an easier time adapting to. as far as keeping gains, i have read that its possible for your natural test to rebound to higher than normal levels immediately following a short cycle when you begin pct and a few more pounds can be put on. all this is in an old post by Realgains.
another benefit that is appealing to me is for people who are not in positions where they can suddenly gain 25 pounds, it would look quite suspicious for me to suddenly gain a bunch of muscle over a short period of time. i could do several short cycles over the course of a year and put on 25 or so pounds relatively inconspicuously.
