Shaun Alexander won the mvp

you had to know he was. While he no doubt deserved major consideration, of course Tiki got screwed. if you look at the MVP the way you would in baseball (MOST VALUABLE, not BEST), I think Tiki gets the edge.

how the fuck can the leagues leading rusher and the guy who set the record for most tds in a season with 28 while leading his team to a record of 13-3 and home field advantage throughout the playoffs win the fucking mvp title??
BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!

tiki is more important to the g-men then alexander.... i think the mvp is never really the MVP.... shit, mcnabb should have won it,,, look what the team is without him!

seriously though... manning is the MVP of the league in the regular season. I think seattle has such a good O Line that you could have plugged many backs in there to have the big season (not scrub backs, but good backs)...

oh well, we all knew it was coming.

see my post, tard. if that was the criteria, then Arod should have won it EVERY year with the Rangers

Agreed it was deserved under the "rules" of the title.

Was Alexander more valuable to his TEAM than Barber??

Thats debatable I think

tiki was 40 yards shy of breaking the most yards from scrimmage that marshall faulk owns. Alexander isn't even close to tiki in that category.

oh sorry i forgot how the rangers had the als best record every year while a rod played for them
13-3

you guys are starting to get a little too stupid on what an mvp means
hell with your criteria carnell williams should of won it because the bucs would of been about 4-12 if they didnt draft him

so to you it means "best player"????? that's not the definition. you sir, are the one that is being stupid, stupid.

you are confusing best and most valuable. I know it's difficult to think, but that's what needs to happen.
the guy led his team to the #1 seed in the nfc and thats not valuable??
it may not be valuable to the eagles, but most teams dont choke away that seeding

YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO ANALYZE MORE. Having the best record doesn't mean he was the MVP. it's never that simple

I clearly don't belong in this conversation cause I would choose which one has the tighter bum, Im gonna go back in the kitchen now and get you all a few beers and some hot wings. :qt:

Agreed, well deserved!

the problem is you are over analyzing it
best record, leading rusher, nfl record for tds in a season = mvp
period

the way you think:
giants dont make the playoffs if they dont have tiki
well the bucs dont make the playoffs either without williams
who is more valuable to their team?
you say tiki because you are a giant fan
i say carnell because i have seen the bucs suck cock the last 2 years and this guy carried them to a division title this year when no one predicted them to make the playoffs

even so im not dumb enuff to say that alexander didnt deserve this trophy
once again killah the team went 13-3 because of him, and he had the best stats
they have never gone 13-3
and for some reason you dont think thats valuable?
are kidding me?

I never said he was not valuable. but a retarded generalization like he is the sole reason they have their record is ridiculous. some things a deeper thinker might consider:

- seattle SOS (.431) vs. Giants (.625) SOS
- alexander rushed for 20!!!!! yards more than tiki. TD's to me are relative. a TD from 2 yards is important but not exactly MVP material
- Hasslebeck was #4 in the NFL in passer rating, Eli was #23
- Hasselbeck was #5 in TDs, Eli #6
- Sea D was ranked 7 spots higher than Giants D
- Sea D ranked 7 in scoring, Giants D 14
- Sea D 5 against rush, Giants D 12

Just some things to consider, that take some more thought than - "Uh, he scored a bunch of TDs and his team had a great record".

having a good running game opens up the passing game, hell you know that, hence hassleback being #4
the fact that eli was #23 with tiki running the ball tells you that he is teh suck

lol.

so far we have hard numbers from KB and general pop culture thoughts from hammy with some remedial numbers.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have got it, but most people get caught up in the flash and don't think intelligently about it. it's that simple.

lets put it this way killah, and be honest
if the numbers were reversed for tiki and shawn (including team records)
who would you say should of won the mvp?

I'm not one of those dumb biased fans that can't think intelligently. Team record is not the deciding factor here and not the only judge of what VALUABLE a RB is to a team. I just showed a bunch of numbers that prove he had a better team around him (and not to mention his insane OL). Considering Tiki was 20 YARDS less than him, this should say something.

David Carr......just imagine where the Texans would be without him.

I wish all women had that mindset...lol

Screw Alexander! If Larry Johnson would of started every game this season, he would have shattered touchdown and yardage records. He has the longest streak of 100+ rushing games too. All I gotta say is watch out for Larry Johnson and my hometown Chiefs next year!
