Setting Media Player as Default Player?

How do you set media player as your default player? I hate quicktime!!!

Hi,

The only way I know how to do it is:

1) open up windows explorer
2) Tools, folder options
3) File types
4) change any media (wav, avi) to open up with windows media player instead of quicktime

There's probably an easier way, I just don't know it.

Change the settings in quicktime. Edit/Preferences/Quicktime Preference. Only have mac/quicktime checked. Media player takes a back seat to anyone program when the files are associate with it.
