country style. No, not drunken rsnoble talk. Seriously-we rural folks have NOTHING for 20+ miles and there use to be a mediocre $ biz up on the street corner. Now there are more people and my wife could run it as she knows everyone and has been here her whole life. Just kicking the idea around. This won't be a "get rich" deal. This wouldn't be a "hire 20 hands" and stay at home on weekends deal. This at most would be a "be involved heavily" type deal and make good $.

I would most likely spend nights/weekends helping out, + I have a commercial smoker. That I built I might add.

I can't quit my job, I make too much $.

The whole idea would be to pull in extra $ and drop my toolbelt early.

It may not be so bad........right next to the house and id be the back of house dude and could drink and raise hell as usual.

A lot of jurisdictions have a limit of how many valid liquor licenses are allowed. you may want to check that out.

if you have a geographic monopoly, then you should be able to charge obscene prices and still get business.

hire a bartender and cook, have your wife as waitress, do the accounts, inventory, ordering supplies, maintenance yourselves. It'd work especially if you have no competition to worry about if you screw up something at the beginning. Go for it!
