how far can someone go in terms of being self confident and demanding respect..is there a point where you can demand TOO much respect? I mean I guess i fall into the fine line between demanding a lot of respect yet on the otherhand I think, "damn maybe i'm being too hard on people" and then I think, "FUck it, I DO deserve X amount of respect from so and so."

depends....respect is usually earned so to meet a complete stranger and expect him to be subservient is unlikely. if you treat ohters well and courteously you should expect treatment in the same fashion. thats the respect i expect

on the other hand, walking down a street you may get a physical 'respect' from someone else

touh question. if someone disrespects me, and i find it very offensive, i sometimes speak to a 3rd party just to check they are picking up on it, and ask them to have a quiet word in that persons ear. if that fails i either speak to them myself or give them a damn good thrashing

only really happenedto me once in recent memory, but as a started weights that guy backed off
