did anyone read in usa today a day or so back about the secret santa.
this guy used to be homeless, and failed once or twice at business start ups. then he got one going and is wealthy. he won't tell anyone who he is, but walks around different cities each year just handing out anywhere from 100 dollar bills to 5 thousand. i think he just wears a santa hat. by the time people realize what's going on' he's already said merry x-mas and is gone.
at first, he said his wife and family didn't even know, but now his wife helps budget out like 85,000 a YEAR to do this.
said one time he was out of gas and so hungry that he ent to a roadside diner and ordered a huge breakfast, knowing that he was gonna fake losing his wallet. the mgr "found" 20 bucks that he asked the guy if he lost. he said that's what made him become secret santa later.
sometimes he walks with a cop or two following near as escorts. but no one really realizes what he's doing anyway. he has no system. just looks into people's eyes. said he used to donate to shelters and shit, and still does, but want to get money directly into people's hands.
